Our Story
From newsroom shifts to a national training programme
newswavexo.org started in a Melbourne broadcast newsroom, where a small group of producers and camera operators kept solving the same production problems on every shift: rushed preparation, inconsistent audio, and footage nobody could find a week later.
What began as an internal onboarding guide grew into a full course covering video preparation, studio recording, content organisation and production support. Today, newswavexo.org works with newsrooms, agencies, universities and independent studios across Australia, helping teams of every size build a production workflow they can rely on.
We keep our course material current by staying close to working studios — testing every checklist and template on live shoots before it goes into a lesson.
